An ideal base for the many events and attractions.

The North Yorkshire Moors  with it's Danby Visitor Centre and the North East Coast and Cleveland Way paths offer walkers and bird watchers a fabulous insight into the many attributes this abundant part of North Yorkshire offers. Whilst a trip on the steam train which winds it's way through the villages of Goathland (Heartbeat Country) and Grosmont towards the quaint market town of Pickering are a must for any visitor, especially on their many special event dates which are organised by the North Yorks Moors Railway throughout the year.
Maybe a trip out to Robin Hoods Bay with it's jurassic coastline would interest you? Or just relax in our sleepy fishing port, marvelling at the journeys of Captain Cooks Endeavour or search for fossils on the beaches bellow the historic Abbey or maybe just listen out for the ghostly screams of Dracula.
Whatever your reason for wishing to while away the time in Whitby, you won't be disappointed. With the cobbled streets lined with jet shops, seafood restaurants and sandy beaches where Lewis Carrol dreamed of Cabbages and Kings, there are few places in England that can better this viberant town.
Don't forget the many events that are organised at Whitby Pavilion throughout the year. Regatta, Goth, 60's weekends to name but a few.

This page is currently under construction (26/5/17) There is loads to do in and around Whitby.  Consider Pannet Park, a Ghost Walk, Bempton Cliffs, Grosmost, Blakey Ridge.... Goodness me, why aren't you here?
